The announcement is dated February 15, 2026, while some coverage lists the event on February 14 in Eastern time; the dates reflect different time zones, not separate reveals. The first look was an enigmatic live-action teaser, not a gameplay presentation.
What did Bloober Team reveal?
The countdown’s answer was Layers of Fear 3, a new entry in the studio’s psychological-horror franchise. Bloober Team’s announcement says the reveal took place during a special anniversary stream. The company’s press release frames the event around a decade of Layers of Fear.

The first game arrived in 2016, followed by Layers of Fear 2 in 2019 and a 2023 Layers of Fear release that combined earlier entries and downloadable content, according to the studio’s franchise history. Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno called the series “a franchise coming straight from our hearts and a beloved Bloobers’ Team story.”
What did the teaser show—and leave unanswered?
The reveal paired a logo with an enigmatic live-action teaser. It opens with William Blake’s poem “The Sick Rose,” setting a foreboding tone without showing how the game plays.
