Sebastian Michaelis is the Phantomhive household’s immaculate butler—and a demon bound to Ciel by a contract. Official Black Butler material confirms several useful details about his role, abilities, voice actor, and later story arcs, but it does not substantiate ten obscure trivia claims. Rather than pad the count, here are five grounded facts, with arc-specific plot details clearly identified.
Who is Sebastian Michaelis?
1. He is the Phantomhive household’s butler
Sebastian’s public role is to serve the Phantomhive household. The official US character profile describes him carrying out everyday duties and his master’s orders with effortless perfection, making polished service central to how the character is presented. The profile sums him up with the line, “The word ‘flawless’ seems to have been made for him.” (Black Butler Official USA character profile)

2. He is a demon contracted by Ciel
Sebastian is not simply an unusually capable human servant. The official Japanese character profile identifies him as the demon Ciel contracted in pursuit of revenge. That establishes the supernatural premise of their relationship without requiring the reader to treat Sebastian’s impeccable butler persona as his full identity. What can Sebastian do?
3. Cooking and martial arts are listed as his specialties
The official US introduction names cooking and martial arts as Sebastian’s specialties. It also describes his black tailcoat, an element of his formal butler presentation. These are official character details, rather than fan-inferred abilities. (Official US introduction)

Who voices Sebastian in Black Butler?
4. Daisuke Ono is his Japanese voice actor
The official US cast-and-staff listing credits Daisuke Ono as Sebastian’s Japanese voice actor. This is the Japanese cast credit; it should not be mistaken for a claim about every language version of the anime. (Official US cast and staff listing)
What cases does Sebastian investigate with Ciel?
5. The Public School arc centers on missing students
In the Public School arc, Sebastian and Ciel infiltrate Weston College to investigate students who have gone missing. This is a plot description for that arc, not a general summary of every Black Butler adaptation or storyline. (Official Public School arc page)
6. The Green Witch arc moves the investigation to Germany
In the Green Witch arc, Sebastian and Ciel investigate mysterious deaths in Germany, including a forest said to kill those who enter. This premise belongs to that specific arc. (Official Green Witch arc site)

The official sources cited here support these character details and arc descriptions, but they do not establish ten distinct obscure facts about Sebastian. Splitting broad descriptions into multiple entries would make the count look fuller without making it more informative. Claims drawn from the manga, creator interviews, or other official character materials need their own verification, and older anime material should not be conflated with manga continuity.
