In the scene, Tommy is on the phone with his father, T.L., and offers a sarcastic description of ABC’s daytime talk show The View.
What is the full Landman line about The View?
The Independent reported the exchange on 15 December 2025 and transcribed Tommy’s description as: “Bunch of pissed off millionaires b****ing about how much they hate millionaires, [President Donald] Trump, and men, and you, and me, and everybody else they got a bee up their ass about.” The headline phrase “Pissed off millionaires” is a shortened paraphrase, not the complete line. The outlet rendered the profanity in censored form.

TV Insider reported a longer version of the exchange and noted that Tommy also calls the show “pretty funny,” in a “fart in church” way. These are fictional lines spoken by the character; they should not be presented as Thornton’s personal opinion or as a statement from an interview.

When did the remark air?
The Independent reported the scene on 15 December 2025, while Landman Season 2 was airing. Its report said new episodes were premiering on Sundays on Paramount+ at that time; that schedule is historical, not a current streaming guide. Paramount+ describes Landman as a drama set in the oil fields of West Texas and identifies Thornton as returning for Season 2. Paramount’s press site later announced that production on Season 3 had begun in an item dated 1 October 2026. That later production news does not make the 2025 scene a new event.
