No. Taylor Frankie Paul’s latest located public statement, posted September 12, 2026, said she was single and celibate. E! reported that she described staying in and said she would not be intimate again unless she found “her person.” That is Paul’s public account of her status; it does not establish what either person may have done privately since.
What Paul said about her relationship status
In an Instagram post quoted by E! News on September 12, 2026, Paul wrote: “I’ve stayed in, single and celibate this entire time and nobody will have intimate access to me again unless he’s my person and that’s a promise to myself.” E! described Dakota Mortensen as her ex. This is the most recent direct public status statement located here, so the clearest answer is that Paul said she was single—not that the two were back together.
Why they remain connected
Paul and Mortensen share a son, Ever, born in 2024, and have had custody and legal matters concerning their family. A continuing co-parenting or court connection is not evidence that they are romantically together.
Their on-and-off relationship was also part of the story of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. E! reported that Paul said she began dating Mortensen in July 2022 and had considered getting engaged after Ever’s birth. Paul later alleged that Mortensen had been unfaithful; Mortensen denied cheating in a TikTok in September 2024. Those are opposing accounts, not an independently established finding.

The later reconnection and the court context
After filming The Bachelorette, Paul said on season five of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives that she reconnected and slept with Mortensen after returning home, while she was still engaged to Doug Mason, according to E! That reported past encounter does not override her later statement that she was single.
Romantic status is separate from the court’s decisions. The Associated Press reported that on April 30, 2026, a Utah court commissioner granted protective-order requests filed by both Paul and Mortensen, ordering them to stay 100 feet apart for three years while custody plans for Ever were assessed. The commissioner described their dynamic as “very toxic,” said there had been violence both ways, and urged them to shield their child from the conflict. These are the reported terms and circumstances at that time; they do not establish whether later court developments changed the orders.

In a separate April report, the AP said prosecutors would not bring new charges against Paul in connection with investigations of claims from 2024 and February 2026. The AP cited insufficient evidence for remaining incidents and noted some were outside the applicable review period; it also said that decision did not directly affect the protective-order process. Separately, the AP reported that Paul pleaded guilty to an assault charge stemming from a 2023 incident. Other counts were dismissed, and reduction of the charge to a misdemeanor was contingent on completing probation without further legal trouble. These distinct proceedings should not be conflated.
