Becky Lynch disputed criticism of her October 20, 2025 Raw match with Maxxine Dupri by alleging Dupri hit her with a closed fist and that Dupri’s nails could injure her lip. The match ended with Lynch disqualified after she struck Dupri with the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Those allegations were Lynch’s account, not independently established findings.
What Becky Lynch claimed about Maxxine Dupri
After the Raw title match in Sacramento, Dupri criticized Lynch, saying she could not follow a rule and was still “on the run,” according to Yardbarker’s October 22, 2025 report, republished from The Sportster. Lynch responded in an Instagram video, disputing criticism of her conduct.
Lynch alleged Dupri hit her with a closed fist and argued the referee should have disqualified Dupri. She also said Dupri’s nails could cause intense damage to her lip, adding that nail technicians had verified her concern. The reports do not independently substantiate that injury claim or establish that Dupri’s nails violated match rules.
Why the match ended in disqualification
The finish is important context: Wrestling Inc.’s account says Lynch struck Dupri with the championship title and was disqualified. Lynch framed her action as an attempt to get out of the match after the alleged punch and potential nail damage. Her explanation does not change the reported result, and the sources do not establish her allegations as an official finding.

What referee Jessika Carr said
On October 22, referee Jessika Carr publicly pushed back on Lynch’s criticism. Wrestling Inc. quoted Carr writing:
“I don’t say a lot or stir up issues….but it’s wild that someone keeps talking about me….when all they’ve been doing is tapping out, getting counted out, and taking the easy way out by getting disqualified. But I’m the problem? 🤔”

The October dispute became one beat in a longer title rivalry. WWE’s November 17, 2025 Raw listing said Dupri had previously beaten Lynch by count-out in a non-title match and by disqualification in a title match. WWE later billed Dupri as Women’s Intercontinental Champion in a December 29 confrontation with Lynch in its Raw highlights.

On January 6, 2026, Cageside Seats reported that Lynch regained the title on January 5, describing the finish as involving Lynch using the ropes for leverage. That later result means the October exchange is a dated storyline episode, not a current account of who holds the championship.
