Barry Manilow said on February 20, 2026, that he was not ready to perform a 90-minute show, so he postponed the first batch of arena dates scheduled for February 27 through March 17. He described the surgeon visit as “Very depressing.” His explanation is his account of the conversation; the sources cited here do not include a medical record or a statement from the surgeon.
Why did Barry Manilow reschedule the arena dates?
In a message dated February 20 and reproduced on the North Charleston Coliseum event page, Manilow said he had been unable to sing more than three songs in a row before needing to stop. He said his surgeon told him his lungs were not ready for a 90-minute performance and advised him not to attempt the first arena shows.

Manilow recounted the warning this way: “You shouldn’t do the first Arena shows. You won’t make it through.” He said the first group of arena dates, scheduled from February 27 to March 17, would be rescheduled. These are details from Manilow’s account, not independently verified medical findings.
What replacement date is confirmed?
The North Charleston Coliseum lists one specific change: the concert originally scheduled for March 11, 2026, was moved to July 30, 2026. The venue says previously purchased tickets would be honored for that new date. That ticket policy applies to the event described in the venue listing; it does not establish the rule for other rescheduled concerts.

How to check a show’s date and ticket status
- Look up the concert on Manilow’s official events page or the relevant venue’s event listing, since schedules can change.
- Compare the original date with the replacement date shown for that specific concert.
- Check the venue or seller’s notice for whether your existing ticket remains valid or whether you need to take another action. Do not assume the North Charleston policy applies elsewhere.
What is on Manilow’s schedule now?
As of October 8, 2026, Manilow’s official events page listed performances at Westgate’s International Theater in Las Vegas in October, November, and December. A September announcement also listed planned 2027 residency dates and said the fall run was to begin October 8. His official tour page lists arena dates and ticketing links, including 2027 events. These are scheduled listings, not a guarantee that every date will go ahead as shown; check the official listing and the event’s venue or seller for the latest status.
