How does the fight reach this point?
In episode 11, “Light Fades to Rain,” Bakugo’s Howitzer Impact fails against Shigaraki/All For One. The U.A. Big Three intervene as the battle turns against the heroes. Episode 12 follows with Bakugo’s Cluster attack and the piercing blow. Prime Video’s episode summaries cover both developments.
What does the next episode suggest?
A synopsis for episode 13 says Deku arrives to find Bakugo and others defeated. That description reinforces the immediate cliffhanger: the battlefield is in crisis, and Bakugo’s condition is presented as dire. It does not, by itself, settle his eventual fate. TV Guide’s episode 13 summary provides this follow-up context.

Does Season 7 confirm that Bakugo dies permanently?
No. Season 7 shows him being pierced and apparently mortally wounded, but the episode summaries cited here do not establish a permanent death or explain how the injury is resolved. The official anime archive lists Season 7 separately from the “FINAL SEASON,” so the Season 7 cliffhanger should not be treated as the endpoint of the full series. The official episode archive lists the relevant entries as episodes 149 and 150; episode 150 is titled “禦ぐ者と侵す者.”
