In a notice dated March 20, BIGHIT MUSIC said RM was injured during rehearsal on March 19 and received a hospital examination and treatment. The agency reported that the examination found an accessory navicular sprain, a partial ligament tear and a talus contusion. It said medical professionals advised him to wear a cast and minimize movement for at least two weeks. The show followed the release of BTS’ fifth album, ARIRANG, on March 20. AP reported that HYBE said the album sold nearly 4 million copies on its first day; that figure is the company’s attributed claim, not a separately verified sales audit. At the opening, AP reported, RM greeted the audience: “Annyeonghaseyo! We’re back.”
What is known about his recovery?
BIGHIT’s notice described the advice as minimizing movement for at least two weeks and said the restrictions were intended to prevent the injury from worsening. The sources cited here do not establish RM’s recovery status after that period, so his performance at the concert should not be taken as evidence that he had recovered.
