Which look did Rosé call her favorite?
In Vogue’s Life in Looks, released December 3, 2024, Rosé discussed two looks from BLACKPINK’s first week performing at Coachella. Referring to the first, she said, “To be honest, this was my personal favorite.” She contrasted it with the second, sparkly look, which she said people liked, but preferred the first herself. Rosé said the fitting excited her because the outfit felt especially suited to Coachella. She added, “I think the outfit really helped, because I felt confident in that one.” The interview identifies the look by its place in the discussion and its Coachella context; it does not name the individual garments or designer. So the precise answer is the first Coachella-week look she discussed, not a claim that this is her favorite appearance across her entire career.
Was she talking about her hair color?
No. Rosé’s answer about the Coachella outfit is separate from her preference for hair colors. In an Elle Korea Q&A reported by Soompi on August 20, 2021, she said silver was her second-favorite hair color after pink-blonde. How does the Coachella look fit her wider approach to style?
In a 2020 Vogue pictorial interview reported by Soompi, Rosé described wearing a Coachella dress that let her perform comfortably. She said clothing that fit well could inspire movement and confidence on stage. That offers context for why an outfit might matter to her beyond its appearance, but it does not establish that this was the same outfit she later singled out in Vogue’s retrospective. Why does fashion matter to BLACKPINK’s image?
In a 2020 TIME interview, BLACKPINK said fashion plays an important role in expressing its music and that the group’s stylists are involved in the album-making process. The comment helps explain why a stage look can be part of a larger creative presentation rather than just a costume, though it does not identify the designer or garments Rosé favored.
