Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to open exclusively in theaters on December 18, 2026. Marvel announced the start of production and an initial ensemble cast on March 26, 2025, but that was not the final cast reveal: Disney’s current movie page lists additional actors, and co-director Anthony Russo said in September 2026 that more cast had not yet been announced.
Is Avengers: Doomsday still in production?
Production began in March 2025, according to Marvel Studios’ announcement. The latest status in the cited reporting is that the directors were still finishing the film in September 2026. Anthony Russo told GamesRadar+: “Joe and I are still very deep in the process of finishing Doomsday. We always say we’re not done with a movie until they pry it out of our cold, dead hands.” He described the work as iterative through final delivery.

Has the full cast been announced?
No. Anthony Russo told GamesRadar+ in September 2026 that the full cast had not been announced. Disney’s current list is therefore the official cast reference available now, not a guarantee that every performer has been revealed. Actors or characters absent from it should not be treated as confirmed.
