What Teresa Palmer said about breastfeeding for seven years
In a June 19, 2023 report, PerthNow said Palmer had described breastfeeding for seven years. The article placed the remark in a broader account of family life and acting, including her eldest son’s interest in acting. Palmer joked, “I’m on day 3367 or something so my boobs are pretty adaptable.” The approximate day count was her own humorous estimate, not a verified record. PerthNow’s report
How she described the years of nursing
In an August 2021 account, Entertainment Tonight quoted Palmer’s Instagram post saying she began nursing on February 17, 2014, when her first son was born, and was then at day 2728. She described nursing her first child through a later pregnancy, tandem-feeding her children, and continuing that pattern with another child. Entertainment Tonight’s account
In a separate interview with Atlas of Motherhood, Palmer gave more detail: she nursed Bodhi while pregnant with Forest and tandem-fed until Bodhi was three; she then nursed Forest during Poet’s pregnancy and tandem-fed until Forest was three and a half. At the time of that interview, she said she was still nursing Poet, who was almost two, and nearing seven years without stopping. The interview page does not show a publication year. Palmer described both exhaustion and gratitude
Her account was not presented as effortless. In the post quoted by Entertainment Tonight, Palmer wrote that some days she felt “utterly exhausted and just want my body back,” while on others she felt deep gratitude for the experience. She also described public scrutiny and verbal abuse, and said, “Women should be celebrated for however they feed their babies, free from judgement.”
That statement captures the personal nature of her story: it does not prescribe a duration or a feeding choice for anyone else. The reports do not establish Palmer’s current breastfeeding status.

A book Palmer said she valued
In the Atlas of Motherhood interview, Palmer named The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding by Diane Wiessinger as her favorite breastfeeding book. That is her stated preference; the interview does not identify a particular edition or establish a commercial endorsement.
