It combines the two The Final Season finale specials into one feature, with visual refinements and 5.1-channel surround sound. So it offers no new main-story chapter on the evidence available—but “nothing new” is too absolute if it refers to the film’s presentation.
Is The Last Attack just the two final episodes?
In substance, yes: official descriptions characterize the movie as a feature-length restructuring of Attack on Titan: The Final Season finale parts 1 and 2, rather than a new continuation. The Japanese anime announcement says the feature was made by refining cuts from the broadcast specials; the English franchise portal likewise describes it as a film reworking those two parts. The Japanese announcement and the official English film page establish the basis for calling it a repackaging, not a new story installment.

That does not establish that every shot or line is identical to the TV specials. The official descriptions do not provide a scene-by-scene comparison, so claims about specific added or removed footage cannot be confirmed from them.
What is different from the TV specials?
- Feature-film assembly: The two finale parts are presented as one continuous movie rather than as separate broadcast specials.
- Visual refinements: The official English page describes visual improvements. In the Japanese announcement, director Yuichiro Hayashi said work was underway to update some visuals. Neither source itemizes the changes, so the extent of the refinements is not established.
- Theatrical sound format: Official descriptions specify 5.1-channel surround sound. That is a format specification, not an independent assessment of sound quality.
These are presentation changes, not evidence of a new arc or additional chapter in the main story. Whether the continuous pacing or theatrical presentation improves the experience is a matter of preference; the official specifications alone cannot settle that.
