El 30 de abril de 2025, Laura Bozzo expresó vergüenza y pidió perdón por sus comentarios sobre Samira Jalil y Julia Gama. Bozzo dijo que llamó a Jalil para disculparse; Telemundo también informó de un encuentro cara a cara en el que Jalil aceptó la disculpa.
¿Por qué pidió perdón Laura Bozzo?
La controversia surgió después de que se difundiera una grabación de una cena privada en la que Bozzo hizo comentarios sobre Samira Jalil, incluida una referencia a su condición de migrante. En una aparición en el programa de Telemundo La mesa caliente, Bozzo habló de sus comentarios sobre Jalil y Julia Gama y los calificó de inexcusable, según People en Español y Telemundo.
Bozzo dijo que sentía vergüenza porque, a su juicio, sus palabras no representaban a la persona que el público había conocido. En la cita publicada, afirmó: “Me siento realmente muy avergonzada porque siento que esa no es la Laura que ellos [refiriéndose al público] han conocido toda su vida.”
¿Cómo se disculpó con Samira Jalil?
People en Español informó que Bozzo dijo haber llamado a Jalil para disculparse. Telemundo describió además un intercambio cara a cara entre ambas tras la polémica: Jalil aceptó la disculpa. Son dos detalles de la cobertura del mismo episodio, pero no conviene confundir la llamada que Bozzo mencionó con el encuentro presencial que relató Telemundo.

Jalil explicó que aceptó la disculpa como un gesto humano y dijo que la recibía no solo por ella, sino también por los inmigrantes que persiguen sus sueños lejos de su ciudad natal. En palabras de Jalil: “Ante todo no puedes ya arrepentirte de algo que hiciste inconsciente o conscientemente, yo acepté tu llamada, estuvimos hablando anteriormente este tema, yo acepté como persona humana de sentimientos bonitos tu disculpa, no solamente por mí, sino por todos los inmigrantes que estamos realizando nuestros sueños fuera de nuestra ciudad natal”.
Qué dijo Bozzo sobre su familia
En el relato de People en Español, Bozzo también dijo que una de sus hijas la había bloqueado por lo ocurrido con Julia Gama. Ese dato corresponde a lo que Bozzo contó sobre su familia; la publicación no lo presenta como una confirmación independiente de la hija.
