What is Arcane season 2 about?
The season begins in the aftermath of Jinx launching a stolen Hextech gemstone at Piltover’s council. Her attack escalates the conflict between Piltover and Zaun and further strains her relationship with her sister, Vi. Netflix and Riot describe a story shaped by the consequences of choices, the divide between the cities and the characters’ darker sides. This spoiler-light premise is enough to set up the season without giving away later events.
Arcane is based on Riot Games’ League of Legends. Netflix identifies Christian Linke and Alex Yee as the series’ co-creators and Fortiche Production as its animation studio, working in partnership with Riot Games.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is Arcane season 2 the last season?
Yes. Netflix calls season 2 the final chapter, and co-creator Christian Linke has said the Arcane story concludes with it. In Netflix’s season guide, Linke explained: “From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of ARCANE wraps up with this second season. But ARCANE is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra.”

It does not confirm an Arcane season 3, announce a specific spinoff or give a date for a future series.
