Jodie Haydon wore a dress by Morrison, a Perth-based designer label, in the images shared with Anthony Albanese’s engagement announcement on 15 February 2024. Morrison’s founder said the style had just launched, but the report did not name the dress, so its exact model and present-day availability are unconfirmed.
Who designed Jodie Haydon’s dress?
The dress was attributed to Morrison by PerthNow in a report published on 16 February 2024, the day after Albanese and Haydon announced their engagement. Morrison is a Perth-based fashion label. Its founder and creative director, Kylie Radford, said: “We are so excited to see Jodie (Ms Haydon) wearing Morrison when Anthony proposed to her.”
Radford described it as “a new style that we have only just launched and we thought she looked amazing.” The report did not give the dress a name or identify a particular model. It therefore establishes the designer label, not enough detail to identify or shop for the exact garment.
When was the proposal announced?
Albanese announced the engagement on Thursday, 15 February 2024. ABC News reported that he had proposed the previous night, on Valentine’s Day. The “Thursday” in contemporary descriptions of the announcement refers to that date, not to the proposal itself.

What did Albanese say about the proposal?
In an official radio interview on 20 February 2024, Albanese said, “It was a secret.” He declined to discuss the private details, saying: “I’m not going into that level of detail because I think that a gentleman should not explain all of the detail. That was between us.”
Are Albanese and Haydon still engaged?
No. The engagement coverage dates from February 2024, and the Associated Press reported that Albanese and Haydon married on 29 November 2025. Haydon is therefore no longer accurately described as his fiancé.
