Apple TV+’s WWDC 2025-era “What’s Coming” sizzle reel previewed returning series and new originals, closing with the campaign promise “new releases every week.” The montage covered releases beyond summer as well as summer titles, so it was a preview—not a complete schedule or a promise that a title would premiere each week.
Returning series teased in the reel
Contemporaneous coverage identified these returning shows in the promotional slate. The dates below are the schedule information reported by TVLine on June 9, 2025; they are publication-time details, not current schedule guidance.
| Series | Season | Date reported June 9, 2025 |
|---|---|---|
| Foundation | 3 | July 11, 2025 |
| Platonic | 2 | August 6, 2025 |
| The Morning Show | 4 | September 17, 2025 |
| Slow Horses | 5 | September 24, 2025 |
| Invasion | 3 | No return date reported by TVLine on June 9, 2025 |
| Loot | 3 | No return date reported by TVLine on June 9, 2025 |
9to5Mac’s rundown also named The Savant and The Last Frontier among the titles in the reel. They are new series rather than returning-season entries.
New series and film previews
- Chief of War: TVLine reported an August 1, 2025 premiere date on June 9.
- Highest 2 Lowest: TVLine reported that the film would stream September 5, 2025.
- The Savant and The Last Frontier: identified by 9to5Mac as part of the slate; the cited coverage did not give dates for these titles.
- The Lost Bus: included in TVLine’s coverage of the reel and the surrounding slate; the cited report did not give a date here.
The reel mixed these new projects with returning shows, and its reach extended into fall. The presence of a title in the montage does not by itself establish that it was a summer premiere.

What the reel does—and does not—confirm
The closing “new releases every week” line was promotional wording from the reel, not a quoted statement by a named person or a measured release calendar. The reporting identifies titles, but does not establish a complete shot-by-shot inventory; this list should not be read as every title or image shown.
TVLine noted that For All Mankind and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters were absent. A title’s absence from a short promotional montage does not establish cancellation or a change in production status.

Related summer programming: A Peanuts special
Apple separately announced Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical for a global premiere on August 15, 2025. Apple described it as a 40-minute special and the first Peanuts musical in 35 years. The reviewed coverage does not verify that the special appeared in the sizzle reel, so it is related summer programming rather than a confirmed segment.
