Apple staged two separate Severance events in 2025—not one pop-up at Lumon HQ. On January 14, a glass-cube office performance appeared at Grand Central Terminal in New York. On April 5, Apple held a larger fan event and panel at Bell Works in New Jersey, the real building Apple identifies as the filming location for Lumon Industries.
Where was the Severance pop-up?
The January 14, 2025 activation was at Grand Central Terminal in New York. Apple TV’s official video description, published the following day, said the “severed floor came to Grand Central Terminal yesterday.” Inside a transparent glass cube, performers recreated the show’s Macrodata Refinement office during rush hour. MacRumors reported appearances by Ben Stiller, Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Patricia Arquette, Britt Lower and Tramell Tillman; D&AD describes the cast carrying out ordinary office tasks for three hours.
This was the event most accurately described as a pop-up: a temporary office performance in a busy public terminal, rather than a gathering at the building used as Lumon’s fictional headquarters. Apple TV’s video description, MacRumors’ contemporaneous report and D&AD’s activation case description document the event.
Was the event held at the Lumon building?
Not the January pop-up. The building Apple identifies as Lumon Industries’ filming location is Bell Works in Holmdel, New Jersey. Apple held a separate event there on April 5, 2025: an “Outdoor Retreat Team-Building Occurrence” (ORTBO) and a For Your Consideration panel. Apple’s April 6 announcement says the building was transformed into Lumon for the occasion. Lumon HQ is the show’s fictional framing; Bell Works is the real-world filming location.

Apple named Ben Stiller, Dan Erickson, Adam Scott, Britt Lower, John Turturro, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Tramell Tillman, Sarah Bock, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Gwendoline Christie and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson among the attendees. Apple TV Press’s April 6 event announcement provides the date, venue and program details.
What happened at Bell Works?
Apple’s account describes an immersive fan activation built around the series’ world, rather than the glass-cube performance seen at Grand Central. Temporary event features included:
