What Anitta said about meeting Drake
Anitta told POPline that she had attended Drake’s birthday party and met several people there, including the rapper. She described the experience as enjoyable, but explained that she avoided talking about it publicly because she did not want people tagging Drake in posts and making her seem opportunistic.

In English, she said she did not talk much about such things because they could become a story, people might tag him, and he might think she was showing off. The interview does not say that the two discussed making music together. Read the POPline interview.

Was Anitta planning to work with DJ Khaled?
In 2018, Anitta described a prospective collaboration rooted in Brazilian funk. She said she had introduced DJ Khaled to the genre and that he liked the idea of making a track. As she described it, he was waiting for her to finish specific funk material before joining something she created.
“Ele está louco para fazer um funk.”
That means, “He’s really eager to make a funk track.” The remark was about a possible project, not an announcement of a finished song. Contemporaneous coverage by UOL Entretenimento also reported that Anitta expected to collaborate with Khaled soon.

What later reporting confirms
Billboard Brasil reported in August 2024 on “Paradise,” a track involving Anitta, Fat Joe and DJ Khaled, after a clip from filming appeared. That is a later example of Anitta and Khaled working together; the report does not establish that “Paradise” was the funk track she discussed in 2018. Billboard Brasil’s report was published on 26 August 2024 and updated on 23 October 2024.
What were her plans after the Solo EP?
The interview came amid the 2018 release of Solo, a three-track EP project with material in Portuguese, English and Spanish. POPline’s introduction said its three associated music videos had accumulated about 40 million views at that point; that figure describes the approximate total reported in 2018, not a current count.

Asked whether an album might follow the EP, Anitta said it was possible and agreed with the interviewer’s suggestion that it could come the following year:
“Existe.”
“It exists” was her confirmation that the possibility was there—not a firm release date or a claim that an album had already been completed. She also mentioned other music in development and said some plans depended on international schedules.

How her later career context differs
A July 2026 Billboard Brasil interview about EQUILIBRIVM II described a later career phase. Anitta discussed a 35-minute audiovisual project and said she had stepped back from aspects of her international career while continuing alongside her work in Brazil.
