What his career says—and does not say—about his wealth
Summers is best known as the guitarist for The Police, and his official site documents a long career as a solo musician and collaborator as well as a writer, photographer, composer, and producer. It also records his albums, books, exhibitions, and other creative work. These facts explain the range of activities associated with his career, but they do not reveal the earnings, ownership arrangements, expenses, taxes, assets, or liabilities needed to calculate his net worth. His official biography also describes a 2017 Fender and Leica collaboration involving a limited-edition Leica M camera and a guitar design called the “Monocaster.” The collaboration is a career detail, not evidence of how much Summers earned from it or whether it remains a source of income.

What the Police royalties report establishes
A January 14, 2026 MusicRadar report describes a dispute over income from The Police’s catalog. It says Summers and Stewart Copeland alleged that more than $2 million was owed from downloads and streaming, and reports payments by Sting. The story describes disagreement about whether historic agreements cover those forms of income. Those are reported claims and positions, not a final accounting of Summers’s finances or a settled net-worth figure. MusicRadar’s report on the Police royalties dispute
Books and photography
Summers’s official bibliography offers a direct way to explore his creative work, but publication history is not a measure of personal wealth. It lists One Train Later as his 2006 autobiography, along with photography books including A Series of Glances (2023), Fretted and Moaning (2021), A Certain Strangeness (2019), and I’ll Be Watching You: Inside the Police 1980–83. The page also lists Light Strings (2004) and Throb (1983), which it identifies as out of print. Andy Summers’s books and photography
