After viewers questioned his appearance during CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast, he said he had a small amount of Botox, had lost weight and was wearing a lot of makeup.
What prompted the speculation?
Cohen co-hosted CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper on Dec. 31, 2025, welcoming 2026. The next day, a viewer posted on Threads: “I just saw the new clips of Andy Cohen on NYE and WTF did he do to his face?!?” Bravo reported that Cohen replied less than 24 hours later. Bravo’s account describes the post as speculation, not evidence of a facelift.
What did Andy Cohen say?
In the Threads reply reproduced by Bravo, Cohen wrote: “Did the smallest amount of Botox and lost 20 pounds!” He added: “And had a lot of makeup on.” Us Weekly independently reported the same response on Jan. 3, 2026. Us Weekly’s account also reports Botox, weight loss and makeup—not a facelift.
The reporting establishes what Cohen said in response to comments about his appearance. It does not establish that he underwent facelift surgery. The “20 pounds” figure is his own statement as reproduced in the coverage, not an independently verified measurement.

What had Cohen previously said about Botox and weight loss?
His earlier Botox disclosure
Bravo reported that Cohen said on Watch What Happens Live in March 2025 that he had received Botox for the first time the month before. That report provides context for his later Threads reply; it does not verify a facelift.
His account of GLP-1 use and a separate weight-loss figure
Bravo also reported that, on his SiriusXM radio show in September 2025, Cohen said he had micro-dosed a GLP-1 during the summer after consulting his doctor and had lost 25 pounds. This earlier account gives a different figure from the 20 pounds in his Jan. 1 reply. The reports do not explain or reconcile the two figures, so they should be treated as separate statements about different contexts—not combined into a single confirmed total.

What can be concluded from the reports?
- Viewer speculation: A Threads user questioned Cohen’s face after his New Year’s Eve appearance.
- Cohen’s explanation: He cited a small amount of Botox, weight loss and makeup.
- What is not established: The cited reports do not substantiate the claim that he had a facelift.
These are accounts of Cohen’s personal statements, not medical advice or independent confirmation of his treatment or weight change.
