Four activists from the campaign group Led By Donkeys placed a banner reading “The Trump Propagandist” on Larry Ellison’s yacht, Musashi, while it was moored at a storage dock on the French Riviera. The group said the stunt protested Ellison’s influence over media and politics; the banner was a protest message, not an official renaming of the vessel.
What happened to Larry Ellison’s yacht?
Futurism reported on March 31, 2026, that four Led By Donkeys activists put the banner on Musashi and released footage of the action. The group’s video announced: “It’s called the Musashi, but not for long — because we’re about to rename it.” In context, “rename” described the activists’ symbolic protest, not a change to the yacht’s official name.
The report says the yacht was moored at a storage dock on the French Riviera. It places the action over the preceding weekend but does not provide a precise date or identify the dock. Read Futurism’s report.
Why did the activists target Musashi?
Led By Donkeys said the action was intended to draw attention to Ellison’s influence over media and politics. That is the group’s stated rationale. Political and media allegations made in its campaign video should be understood as the group’s claims, rather than as independently established findings in Futurism’s report.
