Charlotte Goodlet joined Seven Perth in February 2024 as a reporter and weekend weather presenter after moving back to Western Australia from Sydney. She no longer works at Seven: TV Blackbox reported on 30 September 2026 that she had left the network in July and joined Fortescue’s communications team.
When did Charlotte Goodlet join Seven Perth?
PerthNow reported on 25 February 2024 that Goodlet had joined Seven as a reporter and weekend weather presenter. TV Blackbox also described her appointment to 7NEWS Perth as combining reporting with weekend weather presentation.
At the time, Goodlet said: “I just feel so incredibly lucky to join the team,” as quoted by PerthNow’s appointment report. The report described her as returning to Western Australia with her family after 11 years in Sydney, where she had worked, including at Network 10.
Why did she return to Western Australia?
PerthNow reported that Goodlet and her husband, former AFL player Kieren Jack, moved from Sydney to be closer to family and friends. Goodlet also spoke about why weather mattered to her new role: “It’s an enormous state with a lot going on weather-wise — in a community where everyone operates outdoors and enjoys the weather so much, you’ve got to be forecasting it right,” she told the publication.
