AC/DC added a second Perth concert at Optus Stadium for December 8, 2025, after strong demand for the December 4 date. PerthNow reported that the first ticket release sold at an average rate of 1,200 tickets per minute and said promoter Christo Van Egmond confirmed the sale reclaimed a Ticketek record. Both Perth shows have now passed.
Why did AC/DC add a second Perth show?
The second date followed what PerthNow described as an “overwhelming response” to the original Perth show. The initial concert was scheduled for Thursday, December 4, 2025; the added performance was set for Monday, December 8, at Optus Stadium. PerthNow reported the announcement on June 30, 2025.

At the time, promoter Christo Van Egmond said: “This second Perth show will definitely be the final show that will be added to the Australian tour.” PerthNow also quoted him saying, “We can confirm that absolutely no further shows will be added to the Australian leg.” Those statements reflected the tour plans as announced in June 2025.
Did AC/DC break a Ticketek ticket-sales record?
PerthNow reported that tickets for the initial release sold at an average rate of 1,200 per minute. It also attributed to Van Egmond the claim that AC/DC reclaimed a record they had set in 2009 for the largest single-day concert sale in Ticketek’s history. The sources available for this account do not independently document Ticketek’s record, so the claim should be understood as a report attributed to the promoter, not as independently verified sales data. PerthNow’s report on the sales rate and record claim gives that attribution.

When did tickets for the added concert go on sale?
PerthNow said tickets for the second show were scheduled to go on sale at 11 a.m. on June 30, 2025. That was the historical sale time for the added date; it is not a current ticket opportunity.
How the Perth dates fit the Power Up Tour
The tour takes its name from AC/DC’s studio album Power Up. In an official announcement dated November 3, 2025, the band said the tour would continue with 21 dates kicking off in 2026. That later announcement concerns the tour’s continuation and does not change the dates of the two Perth concerts in December 2025. AC/DC’s official news page carries the band’s tour updates.

Are the Perth concerts still upcoming?
No. The December 4 and December 8, 2025, Optus Stadium dates have passed. The June 2025 announcement is historical event coverage, not a listing for tickets to an upcoming Perth show.
