In a report published on 2 December 2025, PerthNow said the five touring members had arrived in Perth that Tuesday ahead of their Optus Stadium shows. The outlet reported that fans gathered at the airport to see them and that the group left for a riverfront hotel. It also described drummer Matt Laug wearing a red cap and blue sunglasses. Those airport details are attributed to PerthNow; they were not independently verified here.

Who was touring with AC/DC?
PerthNow named the touring lineup as Angus Young, Brian Johnson, Stevie Young, Matt Laug and Chris Chaney. AC/DC’s official Australian tour announcement listed the same musicians.
When were the Perth Optus Stadium concerts?
AC/DC’s official Australian schedule listed the first Perth concert for Thursday, 4 December 2025. PerthNow reported that the band would also play on Monday, 8 December, and published a guide to that second show. The concerts were part of the Australian leg of the POWER UP tour, announced in June 2025 as AC/DC’s first Australian tour since 2015.

What the POWER UP tour represented
The tour took its name from AC/DC’s 2020 album, POWER UP. In its 2025 announcement, the band said the album debuted at No. 1 on the ARIA Chart in Australia and in 20 other countries. The announcement named Amyl and the Sniffers as special guests; PerthNow also identified Southern River Band as a Perth support act.
AC/DC announced continuation dates for the POWER UP tour in 2026. That later schedule did not change the fact that the Perth engagement was a completed 2025 event.

Perth event details are historical
Optus Stadium’s event FAQ for the concerts identified Ticketek as the authorized ticket agent and cautioned that tickets bought through third-party resale sites might not be valid. It listed approximate event timings, including gates opening at 5pm and the concert ending around 10:45pm, and said overnight camping or early queuing was not permitted. These were instructions for those specific 2025 dates, not current venue guidance.
PerthNow’s 8 December guide reported a temporary Perth merchandise pop-up selling limited-edition apparel and collector items. The pop-up and both shows have ended; the available information does not establish current stock or ticket availability.
