Brad Pitt’s real estate holdings have been estimated at more than $100 million, but that figure is not a verified current appraisal. Celebrity Net Worth published the estimate in 2019 without a dated property inventory or transparent valuation method. Reporting documents a changing mix of homes and transactions across California, France, New Orleans, Mallorca and New York—not a confirmed list of everything Pitt owns today.
What is Brad Pitt’s real estate portfolio worth?
The often-cited figure is “over $100 million,” an estimate published by Celebrity Net Worth in 2019. It is not a current appraisal, and the source does not provide a property-by-property schedule or explain its valuation method. The transaction prices reported for individual properties span different years and circumstances; adding them together would not establish the value of Pitt’s present-day holdings. California homes: compounds, coastal architecture and a recent purchase
The Los Feliz compound: a former holding
Pitt reportedly bought the original Los Feliz home in 1994 for $1.7 million and added neighboring properties over the years. Architectural Digest describes a roughly 1.9-acre compound with a 6,692-square-foot Craftsman main house, a pool, tennis pavilion and skate park. He reportedly listed it for $40 million in early 2023 and sold it two months later for $33 million to Aileen Getty. That sale makes it a former holding, not a home to count among his current properties.
The Steel House: a separate Los Feliz property
The smaller mid-century Steel House is not the same property as the compound. Pitt reportedly purchased it from Getty in 2023 for $5.5 million. After a June 2025 burglary, the Associated Press reported that police could not identify who owned or lived in the house at the time. Architectural Digest later reported that Austin Butler bought it for $5.2 million. Those reports do not support treating it as a current Pitt holding. Associated Press report on the burglary

The D.L. James House in Carmel Highlands
In 2022, Pitt reportedly bought the D.L. James House for $40 million. Realtor.com dates the house to 1918 and describes granite and sandstone sourced locally, with the home perched above the water on a bluff. Architectural Digest attributes its design to Greene and Greene and puts its size at about 3,000 square feet. The $40 million is a reported purchase price, not an estimate of what the house is worth now.
The Hollywood Hills design home and 2025 purchase
Architectural Digest reports that Pitt enlisted German architecture firm Graft to build a modernist stone-and-glass Hollywood Hills home in 1998 and that he served as his own interior designer. The article said it appeared he still owned the property when published; its status as of October 2026 is not established. Describing his design approach to Flaunt, Pitt said, “I learned that you have to let go of a lot of great ideas for the sake of harmony,” a line Architectural Digest reproduced.

Separately, Realtor.com reported in 2025 that Pitt bought a Spanish-style estate in Hollywood Hills’ Outpost Estates for about $12 million. The report describes roughly 8,385 square feet, six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a pool, gardens and privacy features. His representatives declined comment, so the transaction and price should be understood as reported rather than confirmed by a public statement from Pitt or his representatives.
The Goleta retreat and former Beverly Hills and Malibu homes
Pitt and Jennifer Aniston reportedly bought an 11-acre oceanfront vacation property near Santa Barbara in 2000 for $4 million. Architectural Digest described it as still in Pitt’s possession when published; Realtor.com gives its area as 11.5 acres. Current ownership is not established here.

Architectural Digest reports they sold it after their 2005 separation; Realtor.com says it sold again in 2020. Pitt also reportedly bought a mid-century modern Malibu home for $8.4 million in 2005, renovated it and listed it in 2009. Realtor.com reports that Ellen DeGeneres bought the home in 2011 for $12 million.

Château Miraval in France
Miraval is a large estate and winery in the south of France associated with Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Realtor.com describes an approximately 1,200-acre property with a château, vineyards and other facilities, reportedly acquired in 2008 for an estimated $60 million. That figure concerns the reported purchase, not the estate’s current value. Architectural Digest and Realtor.com describe litigation connected to Jolie’s sale of her stake in the winery interest. The ownership context is contested, so Miraval should not be described as Pitt’s uncontested sole property.

New Orleans, Mallorca and New York
Pitt and Jolie reportedly bought a French Quarter home in New Orleans in 2006 for $3.5 million and sold it in 2016 for $4.9 million. The house was associated with their post-Hurricane Katrina activity in the city. Architectural Digest also reports that the pair reportedly paid $3.9 million for a Mallorca villa in 2016, while noting that it was unclear whether Pitt still owned it. The couple reportedly bought a residence at New York’s Waldorf Astoria in 2007; the purchase price and present ownership were unclear in that account. These belong in the history of reported properties, not in a confirmed current list.
How to read the portfolio’s headline numbers
Reported property figures describe different things: a purchase price, a later sale price, or an estimate. They also cover different dates, and ownership can change. The Los Feliz compound’s $33 million sale, the D.L. James House’s reported $40 million purchase and the Hollywood Hills home’s reported 2025 price of about $12 million cannot be combined with the 2019 “over $100 million” estimate to produce a current total. No complete, independently documented schedule of Pitt’s current properties or authoritative total portfolio appraisal is established in the cited reporting.
