The often-repeated “4-carat” description is not a confirmed measurement: a jewelry expert estimated the stone at 3–4 carats, and no verified weight or purchase price has been disclosed in the cited coverage.
What does Miley Cyrus’s engagement ring look like?
The reported design pairs a cushion-shaped diamond with an east-west setting, meaning the stone is turned horizontally across the finger rather than vertically. The band is described as a 14K yellow-gold dome band. The Knot reported that designer Jacquie Aiche confirmed both the ring’s engagement-ring identity and these design details. Vogue’s December 2, 2025 report also identified the cushion-cut stone, yellow gold and Aiche as the designer.
Is the diamond really four carats?
That exact weight has not been confirmed. Olivia Landau, founder of The Clear Cut, estimated the center stone at 3–4 carats and described its faceting as “crushed ice,” according to The Knot’s December 2, 2025 report. This is an outside expert’s visual estimate, not a published grading report or a specification from Cyrus, Morando or Aiche. The available reporting does not establish an exact carat weight.
What is the ring worth?
No verified purchase price or appraisal has been reported, and two experts cited by The Knot gave substantially different estimates. Olivia Landau estimated $75,000–$150,000; Daniela Tarantino, Blue Nile’s vice president of merchandising, estimated $300,000–$450,000. These are opinions, not a disclosed sale price or an established valuation. Without confirmed stone specifications and an appraisal, neither range should be treated as the ring’s value.

Where did Maxx Morando propose?
Cyrus said Morando proposed during a trip to Japan. In a December 2025 interview with ABC News, she called the surprise unexpected and said he “did good” with the ring choice. “I am not easy to surprise, because I love to control every situation. And I had completely surrendered,” she told ABC News’s Chris Connelly. ABC News reported her account on December 3, 2025.
Cyrus’s later account of the surprise
In an interview account published by iHeartRadio on September 18, 2026, Cyrus recalled walking with Morando and searching his pockets for a ring, only to miss it near his knee. She said she turned around and found him on one knee. Cyrus described her own attempt to anticipate the proposal: “Me and Maxx were actually going on a walk… and because I won’t allow anything to happen organically for this man, I was like, ‘Oh, I’m gonna pat him down. I bet he has an engagement ring. This would be the best time,’” iHeartRadio reported. She recalled Morando asking, “You’re the love of my life. Will you marry me?”
