Spoilers for the full season of Agatha All Along. The Teen is Billy Kaplan, the young witch who becomes Wiccan. The series confirms his identity in Episode 6, “Familiar by Thy Side.” Before that reveal, the show frames him as a mysterious goth teenager who helps Agatha Harkness regain her freedom and joins her journey along the Witches’ Road.
Who is the Teen in Agatha All Along?
Teen is Billy Kaplan, played by Joe Locke. Episode 6, “Familiar by Thy Side,” reveals that he is the son of Wanda Maximoff and Vision’s former son Billy, whose soul has taken up residence in the body of William Kaplan after Billy’s original body died. The series makes this an MCU story reveal; it is not merely a guess based on the comics.
The show also explains why Teen’s identity is obscured early on: a sigil prevents the witches from hearing his name or learning who he is. Once the sigil’s effect ends, the mystery gives way to the story of how Billy survived and what he wants from the Road.
Why did viewers suspect Billy Kaplan or Wiccan?
The theory had a strong comics basis. In Marvel Comics, Billy Kaplan is Wiccan, a powerful young hero associated with the Young Avengers. Marvel’s comics account connects Billy and his twin brother Tommy Shepherd to the Scarlet Witch’s twin sons. That makes Billy a meaningful identity to consider when a mysterious teen appears beside Agatha—but comics context alone could not establish the show’s answer.

The series supplies its own confirmation in Episode 6, then develops Billy’s powers and connection to Wanda through its own events. The October 10, 2024 IGN Southeast Asia result reflects the question and speculation during the show’s original run; it should not be treated as the definitive answer after the season’s reveal.
What is the Witches’ Road, and what can it grant?
Marvel describes the Witches’ Road as a magical gauntlet of trials. A witch who survives receives what she is missing. In the series, the Road’s trials test Agatha’s group in ways tied to their particular fears, needs and histories. Its promise is therefore both a practical lure and a personal one: each traveler hopes the Road can supply something their life lacks.

Why does Agatha need a coven, and who joins her?
Agatha has lost her power at the start of the series and needs other witches to help her attempt the Road. She assembles a coven with Teen, drawing in Alice Wu-Gulliver, Lilia Calderu and Jennifer Kale. Each has a reason to take the risk, and the Road turns their individual trials into a test of whether the group can work together.
The show’s premise establishes the desperate coven and the journey; the episodes reveal the members and their motivations. The coven is not simply a team Agatha trusts: her relationships with its members are strained by her self-interest and by the danger of the trials.

What does Teen want from the Road?
Teen asks to accompany Agatha, but his purpose becomes clearer over the season. He wants to find Tommy, his twin brother, and believes the Road may help him do it. His wish is personal rather than a general desire for magical power, and the journey ties it to the loss and uncertainty surrounding his new life as Billy Kaplan.
How does the MCU version differ from the comics?
Marvel’s comics identify Billy Kaplan as Wiccan and place him among the Young Avengers; the comics also connect Billy and Tommy to the Scarlet Witch’s twin sons. Those details provide useful background, but the MCU adapts the characters and their circumstances for television. In Agatha All Along, the episodes—not the comics biography—establish Billy’s identity, the body he inhabits and his reason for entering the Road.
