The Vampire Lestat premiered Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC and AMC+. That date has passed; AMC’s June 2 Beacon Theatre event was a separate screening and performance, not the series premiere.
When did The Vampire Lestat come out?
AMC announced March 13, 2026 that The Vampire Lestat would premiere Sunday, June 7, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC and AMC+. AMC repeated the date and time in an April 29 announcement. As of October 2026, the premiere is in the past. AMC’s March 13 date announcement and April event announcement identify the same premiere date.
Was the June 2 event the premiere?
No. AMC held a separate event at New York’s Beacon Theatre on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. It featured a special screening followed by a live performance by Sam Reid as Lestat. AMC had said complimentary ticket requests would open May 6; both the event and request window have passed. The event should not be confused with the June 7 television and streaming premiere. AMC’s event announcement gives the venue and program details.
What is the series about?
AMC frames the season around Lestat de Lioncourt’s rock-star era. Played by Sam Reid, Lestat tours multiple cities while being haunted by figures from his past. The series is part of AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe. AMC’s official trailer announcement used the tagline, “It’s My Era. I’m a Rockstar Now.” AMC’s trailer announcement describes the season’s premise.

AMC named Fender and POM Wonderful as campaign partners. Its announcement said four custom Player II Modified Stratocaster guitars, called “Fender Limited Edition LeStrat Stratocaster HSS,” would be unveiled in the show. That announcement does not establish that the guitars are publicly for sale, list a price, or confirm an Amazon listing. It describes a campaign tie-in, not a retail offer.
