The clearest documented part of Conor McGregor’s real-estate story is The Paddocks, his reported home near Straffan, County Kildare. Reports say he bought it in 2019 for €3 million and later received permission for alterations and an extension. A much larger replacement-house proposal was refused in 2025, while a separate application was ruled invalid in 2026. Those are different planning decisions—not evidence that a new mansion was built or that the earlier permission was revoked.
The Paddocks: McGregor’s best-documented property
RTÉ reported in May 2026 that McGregor paid €3 million for The Paddocks in 2019. The property is at Castledillon, near Straffan in County Kildare. That figure is a reported historical purchase price, not a current valuation. RTÉ’s 18 May 2026 report also described the existing house as 7,964 square feet.
RTÉ separately reported that McGregor bought the adjacent No. 5 Castledillon for €1.65 million in June 2022. The report establishes the price and timing as reported, but does not establish the property’s present market value. RTÉ’s 2025 coverage gives the purchase figure.
What planning permission covers—and what it does not
The 2022 permission
Permission was granted in 2022 for alterations, demolition works and an extension at The Paddocks. In 2026, the architect said the permitted work was in the process of being implemented. RTÉ reported the permitted extension at 13,131 square feet; that is the area of the permitted extension, not the size of the existing house or a completed replacement home. The report said the permission was due to expire in early 2027. RTÉ’s planning update provides those details.

The larger replacement-house proposal refused in 2025
A separate proposal sought to demolish the existing five-bedroom house and replace it with a six-bedroom home measuring 2,290 square metres, with a 746.6-square-metre basement. An Coimisiún Pleanála refused that proposal on 3 July 2025. The proposed dimensions describe the refused replacement scheme; they are not the dimensions of the existing house or the 2022 permitted extension. RTÉ’s report on the refusal gives the proposal’s scale and outcome.
As reported by RTÉ, the commission said the development would be visually incongruous in a sensitive landscape, would injure visual and rural amenities, and could set a precedent for out-of-scale replacement dwellings. It also said the applicant had not adequately justified demolishing a substantial detached home instead of sensitively adapting or extending it. The decision concerned this replacement proposal; it was not a finding that the separately permitted 2022 works had been refused.

The 2026 application ruled invalid
In April 2026, a further application sought to allow works to be completed or extended after the existing permission’s expiry. Kildare County Council invalidated it in May, saying in its decision letter that “the drawings submitted are misleading and incorrect, and information has been omitted,” as quoted by RTÉ. An invalid application could not be considered; it is distinct from the 2025 refusal of the replacement-house plan. RTÉ’s May 2026 account does not establish a later valid application or that the permitted works have been completed.
What older reports say about homes abroad
Older lifestyle coverage mentions properties associated with McGregor in Spain and the Las Vegas area, but it does not establish a verified current ownership list. In particular, Realtor.com described Ville de Soleil, a 12,000-square-foot Las Vegas-area rental that McGregor used while preparing for UFC 189 in 2015. It was a rental, not proof that he owned the house. Realtor.com’s 2017 account describes that stay.

A 2020 real-estate feature discussed homes in Ireland and Spain as well as the Las Vegas residence, but it is secondary lifestyle reporting and does not verify current title or ownership. realestate.com.au’s feature should be read as historical context rather than a current inventory.

The reported €3 million and €1.65 million figures refer to separate historical purchases, not current appraisals. They cannot be added to produce a current personal real-estate valuation, particularly when ownership status, present value and the scope of the full portfolio are not established.

There is also a separate corporate figure: RTÉ reported that Emrajare Ltd’s accounts listed €21.46 million in investment-property book value at the end of 2022. That is a company accounting value for investment properties at that date, not a valuation of McGregor’s personal residential portfolio. RTÉ’s 2024 report also covered a rejected mixed-use scheme involving the Marble Arch pub site and a proposed 113-apartment development; a planning proposal is not a completed development or evidence of personal home ownership.
