Watch the official Fallon performance
Watch Linkin Park perform “The Emptiness Machine” on the verified Tonight Show YouTube channel. The channel’s description reads: “Musical guest Linkin Park performs "The Emptiness Machine" for The Tonight Show.”
Why the performance mattered
The appearance came during Linkin Park’s return and the rollout of From Zero. The band’s official biography says the group took the stage for the first time in seven years on September 5, 2024, and connects “The Emptiness Machine” with the album. NME described the Fallon appearance as the song’s TV live debut in a report published September 18, 2024. At the time, the outlet reported that From Zero was due November 15; that date is historical context, not an upcoming release.
Linkin Park’s biography says From Zero peaked at number one in 14 countries and calls “The Emptiness Machine” the biggest rock song of 2024. Those are the band’s retrospective claims; the biography does not explain its chart-counting method or provide an independently audited ranking.
