The fourth film is officially titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day; Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has said it leads to more Spider-Man stories and the MCU’s future, without confirming Holland for a specific next project.
What is Spider-Man 4 called?
Sony’s official title is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which Sony identifies as Tom Holland’s fourth Spider-Man film. Its synopsis follows Peter Parker as he fights crime full-time in a world that no longer remembers him. Seeing former friends move on puts pressure on Peter and prompts a change in him. Sony’s FAQ places the story four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home. Sony Pictures’ official film page
Sony lists Destin Daniel Cretton as director; Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers as writers; and Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Rachel O’Connor as producers. The cast listed on the page includes Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo.
Sony describes Brand New Day as the last MCU release before Avengers: Doomsday (2026). That release-order description does not establish that Holland appears in Doomsday.

What did Tom Holland say about handing Spider-Man to a successor?
In an interview discussed on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Holland described a handoff plan he has been developing since finishing No Way Home. Variety reported his words on July 31, 2026: “There’s a whole plan that we have been working on for, I would say, since we finished ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.’” He added: “It’s laid out. It’s gonna change for sure, but I have a really clear vision to the passing on of the baton, and I think it’s really exciting.” Variety’s report
This is a long-term succession plan, not an announcement that Holland is departing immediately. Holland has expressed interest in helping bring Miles Morales to the screen and mentoring the next performer, but Variety’s report does not identify the successor or report a casting or film date.
