The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered launched on April 22, 2025. It is available for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, with access through Game Pass and cloud play also listed by Bethesda and Xbox. And yes: the standard edition includes the original Horse Pack Armor; Deluxe adds new horse-armor sets tied to quests.
Where can you play Oblivion Remastered?
Bethesda lists the remaster for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and includes it with Game Pass. Xbox Wire also lists cloud availability and Xbox Play Anywhere. For the current platform and access details, see Bethesda’s official game page and Xbox Wire’s launch announcement.
Does the standard edition include horse armor?
Yes. The Standard Edition includes the legacy Horse Pack Armor, along with the game’s other listed legacy add-ons. That means horse armor is not exclusive to Deluxe.
What does Deluxe add?
Deluxe includes all Standard Edition content, plus bonus quests and distinctive Akatosh and Mehrunes Dagon armor, weapons, and horse-armor sets. It also includes a digital artbook and soundtrack app. Bethesda’s edition details describe the included content.

Where do you get the new horse armor?
Bethesda Support says the Deluxe Order horse armor is awarded through the A Wound in Time quest, while the Cataclysm horse armor comes from Burning Trail. These are separate quest rewards, not the legacy Horse Pack Armor included in Standard. See Bethesda Support’s horse-armor guidance.
Standard or Deluxe: what is the difference?
| Edition | Included content | Format and access |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Base game, Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine, and listed legacy add-ons, including Horse Pack Armor. | Digital edition; Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC availability is listed by Bethesda. |
| Deluxe | Everything in Standard, plus bonus quests, Akatosh and Mehrunes Dagon armor, weapons and horse-armor sets, a digital artbook, and soundtrack app. | Digital Deluxe is listed by Bethesda. A physical Deluxe edition is also offered for PS5 and Xbox Series X. |
| Physical Deluxe | Disc plus a code for the digital extras. | PS5 and Xbox Series X only; Bethesda describes the release as limited while supplies last. An initial download is required for the full game and extras; after that, it can be played offline. See Bethesda’s physical-edition announcement and Bethesda Support’s download information. |
Can you buy a physical PS5 or Xbox copy?
Yes, but the physical option described by Bethesda is the Deluxe Edition for PS5 or Xbox Series X; the announcement does not list a physical PC edition or an Xbox Series S disc version. It is a disc accompanied by a code for the digital extras, and Bethesda says availability is limited while supplies last. Retailer stock and price can vary.
