What is Mickey 17 about?
The film follows Mickey Barnes, an “expendable” worker sent into dangerous situations. When he dies, he is regenerated as a clone and returned to the work. The number in his name tracks his deaths. In the story, Mickey 17 is near death but has not died when another version, Mickey 18, is created by accident—leaving two versions alive at once. Robert Pattinson plays both.
