The claim that Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 officially announced a major delay is not substantiated by the article carrying that headline. Its text does not identify an official postponement notice, a changed date or a delayed episode. The official anime schedule instead records the season premiere on January 8, 2026, and its finale on March 26, 2026.
Was Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 delayed?
Not on the evidence cited by the May 12, 2026 Android Experto article headlined “Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Officially Announces A Major Delay.” The accessible article text does not name an official announcement or specify an original and revised date. It also does not identify an episode that was postponed. Without those details, its headline does not establish that a major delay occurred. Read the Android Experto article.

The official anime site’s dated schedule notices provide a clearer record of the Japanese broadcast: the season was announced for January 2026, given a specific premiere date in November 2025, and later assigned a finale date in March 2026. Those notices do not rule out every possible interruption in every territory, but they do not support describing the season as officially subject to a major delay. Official Jujutsu Kaisen anime site.
What the official Japanese schedule says
- August 31, 2025: The official site announced Season 3, titled “Culling Game: Part 1,” for January 2026. Season 3 announcement.
- November 7, 2025: The site set the Japanese premiere for January 8, 2026, at 00:26 JST on the MBS/TBS 28-station network. The opening broadcast was planned as a one-hour special covering episodes 1 and 2. Premiere and broadcast details.

What those dates mean for viewers
The times above are Japanese broadcast times, not a promise of when an episode became available in another country. The official schedule page lists Japanese streaming services, including ABEMA, d Anime Store, Hulu, Netflix, Prime Video and U-NEXT, among others. A listing on that Japanese page does not establish current availability in every territory; check the service in your country for its current catalog, release timing, language and subtitle options. Official broadcast and streaming schedule.
Crunchyroll reported that it would stream the series on the same day as the announced Japanese premiere. That is a distributor’s report about its own service, not confirmation of identical availability in every market or at every date. Crunchyroll premiere announcement.

What remains unverified in the “major delay” claim
To verify a postponement, a report should identify the affected episode or broadcast, the original schedule, the revised schedule, and the official notice behind the change. The headline article does not provide those specifics in its accessible text. It also offers no Jujutsu Kaisen-specific production explanation that would establish why a delay occurred.
Accordingly, the careful conclusion is limited: the named article does not substantiate an officially announced major Season 3 delay, while the official Japanese schedule records a January 8 premiere and a March 26 finale in 2026. A separate, short interruption or a regional streaming change would require its own dated notice and should not be conflated with a season-wide delay.
