How did Raygun fare in the competition?
Gunn competed in the women’s breaking round robin, scored no points and lost all three bouts. That result is separate from Adele’s response to the performance and from discussion of its artistic approach.
Why did the routine prompt different reactions?
Head judge Martin Gilian, also known as MGbility, defended Gunn’s approach by pointing to breaking’s emphasis on originality: “Breaking is all about originality and bringing something new to the table and representing your country or region.” He said, “This is exactly what Raygun was doing.” His comments offer a perspective on the routine’s creative intent; they do not change its competition result or determine how individual viewers respond to it.
