Ben Affleck’s publicly documented work spans acting, writing, directing, producing and business ventures, but available sources do not establish his current net worth or personal income from any one channel. They also offer only a narrow view of his spending: a reported home sale, not a complete picture of his expenses or assets.
How Affleck earns money
1. Acting
Affleck has a long film and television career, with credits including Good Will Hunting, Gone Baby Gone, The Town and The Last Duel. These credits establish acting as a career channel, but do not disclose his fees or lifetime earnings. Artists Equity’s profile lists his roles and selected work.
2. Writing
Writing is another documented part of Affleck’s career. His credits include Good Will Hunting, which he co-wrote, as well as other projects listed in Artists Equity’s career profile. The available sources do not state what he earned as a writer.
3. Directing
Affleck has directed films including Gone Baby Gone, The Town and Live by Night. In February 2025, Netflix announced that he would direct Animals, and also star in and produce it with Artists Equity partners. The announcement confirms ongoing work, not a disclosed directing fee or profit share. Netflix’s announcement provides the production details.

4. Producing
Producing is part of Affleck’s work through both his career and production companies. Artists Equity’s profile identifies him as a producer and notes Pearl Street Productions’ co-production credits, including Promised Land, Jason Bourne and Manchester by the Sea. A production credit does not reveal an individual producer’s compensation or share of a project’s returns. Artists Equity lists these credits.
5. Artists Equity
Affleck co-founded Artists Equity with Matt Damon in 2022 and serves as its CEO. The company describes a model intended to broaden access to profit participation and to monetize intellectual property through partnerships with creators. That makes the studio a business and production channel, but its public profile does not disclose Affleck’s salary, ownership economics or distributions. Artists Equity’s company profile describes its approach and leadership.
6. InterPositive
Affleck founded InterPositive, a filmmaking-technology company. Netflix announced on March 5, 2026 that it had acquired the company, that its full team would join Netflix and that Affleck would become a senior adviser. Netflix did not disclose the purchase price in its announcement. Netflix’s acquisition announcement describes the company’s filmmaking focus.
The Los Angeles Times later reported that Netflix paid $587 million for InterPositive in 2026. That is a reported company acquisition price, not an established amount paid to Affleck. The available sources do not establish his ownership percentage, other investors’ interests, transaction adjustments, taxes or net proceeds. The newspaper’s report is the source for the figure.
7. Advertising and brand partnerships
In September 2026, Aflac announced a partnership with Artists Equity featuring Affleck in a campaign he directed with Artists Equity’s Brandon Pierce. Aflac called it the beginning of a long-term creative partnership and described distribution across linear, digital and social platforms. The announcement does not state Affleck’s fee or how compensation is arranged between him and Artists Equity. Aflac’s announcement gives the campaign details.
What is publicly known about his spending
8. A reported home sale—not a spending ledger
The clearest cited property transaction is a Pacific Palisades mansion that Affleck sold in 2022. The Los Angeles Times reported a sale price of $28.5 million. That gross price does not establish what he originally paid, any outstanding debt, transaction costs, taxes or his net gain. The newspaper’s report documents the sale.
Rank #4
This transaction is not enough to describe Affleck’s broader spending. The cited sources do not provide a reliable, comprehensive account of his current properties, household expenses, travel, cars, investments or charitable giving amounts. Artists Equity says Affleck founded the Eastern Congo Initiative in 2010, but does not quantify his personal charitable contributions. Its profile documents the founding, not a donation total.

Affleck’s documented credits and company roles show several ways he works in entertainment and business. They do not establish how much he earns from acting, writing, directing, producing or company activity, nor do they support a verified current net-worth figure. The reported $587 million InterPositive acquisition price and $28.5 million home sale price describe transactions, not personal income or net worth.
