Amy Grant and Vince Gill’s relationship developed out of a musical connection: they recorded Grant’s “House of Love” together in 1994, when both were married to other people. Gill later announced his divorce in 1997; Grant moved out in 1999, and AARP reports that they began dating after her divorce became final. They married in March 2000. The accounts describe attraction and a later relationship, but do not establish that either had an affair.
Before their 1994 collaboration
Grant and Gill had met before recording together, but ABC News reported in 2003 that they barely knew each other. The year before the recording, they appeared at Gill’s Christmas concert in Tulsa. Gill recalled being dared to dance with Grant. ABC News
