The ceremony took place on Friday, June 27, 2025. Vogue’s gallery is specifically a guest-arrival fashion gallery; its captions identify people photographed arriving, rather than serving as an official record of everyone present inside the ceremony.
After the wedding
Celebrations continued with a post-wedding party on June 28. Photo captions and reports place some guests in Venice for events across the wedding weekend, so the timing attached to a particular photograph matters when describing who was seen where.

What did Lauren Sánchez wear?
Vogue reports that Sánchez wore a Schiaparelli couture look before changing into a Dolce & Gabbana gown for the ceremony. The wedding explainer says the ceremony dress featured 180 silk chiffon-covered buttons and took 900 hours of atelier work. Sánchez told Vogue, “I feel like a princess.”

Reuters reported in 2025 that Veneto regional president Luca Zaia put the expected guest count at around 200–250 and the anticipated celebration cost at 40 million to 48 million euros ($47 million to $56 million). These were reported expectations, not a final audited count or cost.

Reuters also reported an estimate from Italy’s tourism ministry of 957 million euros ($1.12 billion) in overall economic impact, including 896 million euros attributed to media visibility. What else was happening in Venice?
The Associated Press gallery documents protests under the “No Space for Bezos” banner. It reports that activists raised concerns about overtourism, high housing costs and climate-induced flooding. These protests were part of the wider public context around the event; the guest-arrival photographs do not, by themselves, capture every side of that debate.
