The epilogue also shows their children heading to Hogwarts, Draco Malfoy with his son Scorpius, and Teddy Lupin kissing Victoire Weasley. Other pairings—including Luna Lovegood and Rolf Scamander—were confirmed separately after the closing scene.
Who is married in the final chapter?
The epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows takes place a little over nineteen years after the Battle of Hogwarts. At King’s Cross, the grown-up characters send their children off to school. The scene establishes two central marriages: Harry and Ginny, and Ron and Hermione. Wizarding World describes the scene and its family relationships.
Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley
Harry and Ginny are married and have three children: James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna Potter. James is already attending Hogwarts; Albus is starting his first year, while Lily is still too young to go. Wizarding World’s account of the epilogue identifies the family and the children.
Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger
Ron and Hermione are married and have two children, Rose and Hugo Granger-Weasley. Rose is beginning her first year at Hogwarts alongside Albus, while Hugo is still too young to attend. Wizarding World identifies Ron and Hermione as a married couple.

Who is Draco Malfoy’s wife?
The epilogue shows Draco with his son, Scorpius, but it does not name Draco’s wife in that scene. J.K. Rowling later identified her as Astoria Greengrass. Official franchise coverage says Astoria died from a fatal blood curse; that later detail is separate from what the final chapter depicts. Wizarding World’s retrospective covers the epilogue families, and Rowling’s Draco Malfoy profile provides later background.
Are Teddy Lupin and Victoire Weasley a couple?
James Potter catches Teddy Lupin and Victoire Weasley kissing at King’s Cross. Victoire is the daughter of Bill and Fleur Weasley. The kiss suggests a budding romance, but the epilogue does not say that they marry or confirm what happens to them later. Wizarding World’s account of the closing scene describes the moment.

Which other couples were confirmed later?
Some relationships are part of later information about the characters rather than the central King’s Cross scene. Wizarding World retrospectives and Rowling’s 2007 interview identify these pairings:
- Luna Lovegood and Rolf Scamander: they married and had twins, Lorcan and Lysander.
- Neville Longbottom and Hannah Abbott: they married.
- George Weasley and Angelina Johnson: they married.
- Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour: they remained married and had three children, including Victoire.
Rowling said in a 2007 TIME interview that she had the characters’ futures worked out in her mind. These later-confirmed pairings should not be confused with the two marriages foregrounded in the novel’s epilogue.

Who starts Hogwarts in the epilogue?
The platform scene also makes clear which children are old enough to attend school at that point:
- James Sirius Potter is already a Hogwarts student.
- Albus Severus Potter, Rose Granger-Weasley, and Scorpius Malfoy are starting their first year.
- Lily Luna Potter and Hugo Granger-Weasley are still too young to attend.
The epilogue does not provide the same school-age detail for every character’s children; this list reflects the children shown in the scene. Wizarding World’s epilogue recap covers the platform group.
