Mamoru Oshii and Shigeru Chiba as the Pizza Shopkeeper
PlayStation.Blog Japan’s June 27, 2025 launch-event report identifies film director Mamoru Oshii as the Pizza Shopkeeper and Shigeru Chiba as the character’s voice performer. These are distinct credits: Oshii’s appearance should not be confused with Chiba’s voice role.
Usada Pekora and Gen Hoshino
The same launch-event report says Usada Pekora appears as a holographic character. It identifies Gen Hoshino as an in-game musician appearing under his own name and notes that he contributed “Sayonara.”

No. PlayStation introduces its additional names with “and many others,” and the official sources cited here do not establish a complete performer-and-character roster. They also do not provide an official count of the sequel’s cast or celebrity cameos. Treat the names above as confirmed highlights rather than every person credited in the game.
“Cameo” can also be used loosely: some names above are central story roles, while others are additional or self-referential appearances. The cited official sources confirm appearances and certain roles but do not classify every performer by screen time.

In a PlayStation.Blog launch interview, PlayStation says the team used 4D scanning “for key characters to preserve subtle muscle movements and facial expressions of the actors.” That description concerns key characters; it does not establish that every celebrity appearance used the same technique.
