In comments reported by ABC News on May 25, 2021, Emily Blunt said she and Krasinski avoided discussing their careers at home because she did not want their daughters to feel more important or singled out. Setting a boundary with fans
Krasinski has described asking fans not to take pictures when he and Blunt are with their daughters. In comments reported by Parade, he said the couple would explain, “We’re just having family time, but it’s nice to meet you.” He framed the request as a way to keep an outing with the children from becoming a moment in which they wonder why their parents are posing for photos with strangers. Parade’s profile attributes the remarks to a 2024 People interview.

IF and imagination
In an Associated Press interview published April 29, 2024, Krasinski said, “My kids are extremely imaginative.” He described how their questions during the pandemic helped deepen the idea behind IF, his fantasy film about imaginary friends. His comments support the idea that fatherhood and his daughters’ imagination informed the project; they do not indicate that the girls worked on the film. A Quiet Place and life as parents
In a 2018 TIME interview about A Quiet Place, Krasinski said the couple’s second daughter was three weeks old when he read an early draft of the story. Blunt said its premise felt close to her experience as a mother of two young children.
