Russell Moore, the longtime frontman of IIIrd Tyme Out, joined Alison Krauss & Union Station as Tyminski stepped away from touring to focus on his own band. Moore shares vocal duties with Krauss. The change was not a simple handoff on the new recording: Tyminski remained involved in Arcadia, playing guitar and mandolin. The touring change and the album credits therefore describe different roles.
Who is in the group, and who is touring?
GRAMMY.com named the longtime members alongside Krauss as Larry Atamanuik on drums and percussion, Ron Block on guitar and banjo, Barry Bales on bass, and Jerry Douglas on dobro. The same report said fiddler Stuart Duncan would join the upcoming tour. That tour detail does not by itself establish Duncan as a permanent core member.

How did the album take shape?
Krauss told GRAMMY.com that “Looks Like The End Of The Road” gave the album its opening track and a way to welcome listeners back. She recalled hearing it in early 2021: “it just felt like what should be the first song. Until then, we didn’t have a song to go in that spot as our way of saying ‘Hello’ again.
