Delgado said she began the relationship after Miller told her he was separated from his wife. Court records later recounted that the relationship began in October 2016 and that their son was born in July 2017; the two gave differing public accounts of what happened.
What Delgado said about how the relationship began
Delgado and Miller worked on Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. In an account of her interview with The Atlantic, Mediaite reported that Delgado said she entered a relationship with Miller after he told her he was separated from his wife. She also said she learned she was pregnant shortly after Election Day. Those details describe Delgado’s account, not an independently established account of Miller’s statements or intentions. Mediaite’s 2017 report summarized the interview; the original interview was not available in the reporting reviewed here.
When their son was born
A federal court opinion recounts that the affair began in October 2016, that Delgado’s pregnancy resulted from it, and that the couple’s son was born in July 2017. These dates provide a court-recorded timeline, distinct from the details Delgado described in her interview. The court opinion is the source for those dates.
What happened after the relationship became public
The story became public in August 2017. The Washington Post reported on Delgado’s response on social media and said it had been unable to reach either Delgado or Miller at the time. Its coverage also noted that the two had different accounts. The Washington Post’s report documents that public moment; it does not resolve the differences between their accounts.

How the custody dispute entered the story
By April 2018, Delgado and Miller were involved in a custody dispute. Mediaite reported that Delgado told Talking Points Memo she believed the litigation was intended to pressure her financially. That is Delgado’s characterization of the dispute, not a judicial finding about Miller’s motive. Mediaite’s coverage of her statement reports her view.
How to read the later allegations and court updates
Mediaite’s 2018 coverage reported serious allegations Delgado made in filings and included Miller’s response. The allegations should be treated as claims, not established facts. The report describes the allegations and response.

In a separate development, Courthouse News reported in 2025 that a civil case alleging sexual misconduct against Miller and the Trump campaign was allowed to proceed after a judge denied an effort to dismiss it. That ruling concerned whether the case could proceed at that stage; it was not a finding that the allegations were true or a final judgment. The report does not establish the case’s eventual outcome or Delgado’s current custody arrangements. Courthouse News’ 2025 report describes that procedural decision.
