Wilson credited Melinda with helping him re-engage with life and music, while their story also unfolded alongside his own difficult and complicated history.

Wilson’s official memorial says Melinda encouraged him to return to touring and take on the challenges of performing. That support became part of the story of their partnership, but it sat within a much broader personal and professional life.
