Three Apple TV releases arriving around October 7, 2026, offer very different viewing options: the offbeat comedy Small Prophets premieres October 7, while season two of The Sisters Grimm and the documentary The Last First: Winter K2 are listed for October 2. Small Prophets: an eccentric comedy with a weekly rollout
Created, written, and directed by Mackenzie Crook, Small Prophets follows Michael Sleep (Pearce Quigley), whose partner Clea disappeared seven years earlier. He has lived an ordinary life since then, until his father Brian (Sir Michael Palin) shares an old recipe. Michael tries to make homunculi—spirits in the story believed to predict the future—in the garden shed, hoping to learn whether he will see Clea again. His coworker Kacey (Lauren Patel) becomes an ally.
Apple’s September 30 announcement says the first two episodes arrive Wednesday, October 7, followed by a new episode each Wednesday through November 4. Apple describes the series as six episodes in total. The staggered launch means the premiere date is not the date the full season becomes available. Apple’s program page gives the premise and cast.
There is a territory exception: Apple says the series is not included in the U.K. launch and that U.K. subscribers will receive it in 2027, without specifying a date. Apple’s September 30 announcement sets out the rollout and U.K. availability.

The Sisters Grimm season two: a return, with limited confirmed detail
Apple’s October catalog lists season two of The Sisters Grimm for October 2, 2026. The listing establishes the release date, but does not provide enough season-specific detail to responsibly summarize the new story or its episode schedule. The Last First: Winter K2: a documentary about a winter expedition
This Apple Original Films documentary follows a 2021 attempt to become the first team to summit K2 in winter. It centers on Icelander John Snorri Sigurjónsson and Pakistani climbers Ali and Sajid Sadpara, amid dangerous mountain conditions and competing commercial and media interests. Directed by Amir Bar-Lev, the film examines both the expedition and the culture surrounding extreme climbing.

Apple announced a global Apple TV premiere for October 2, 2026. It is the single-film option among these three releases, rather than a series with episodes arriving over several weeks. Apple’s announcement describes the film and its premiere.

These are three selections clustered around October 7, not a complete list of Apple’s October premieres. Apple’s broader lineup also lists Matchbox The Movie for October 9. The streaming service is branded Apple TV; Apple says it is available across viewers’ screens, so a dedicated Apple TV box is not required.
