For U.S. viewers, Prime Video’s current browse page labels Fallout, The Boys and Gen V as “Free with ads.” Other titles may be included with a Prime membership, but availability changes and a recommendation list alone cannot confirm each show’s current offer. Check the individual title page for its offer badge before you press play.
What “free” means on Prime Video
Prime Video separates several kinds of access. “Included with Prime” means a title is covered by an Amazon Prime membership without an extra charge for that title. “Free with ads” is a separate catalog label. A rental or purchase costs extra, as does access through a paid add-on subscription. Amazon says its Included with Prime selection changes over time, so availability is a snapshot rather than a permanent promise.
Amazon’s U.S. free-with-ads browse page currently surfaces Fallout, The Boys and Gen V in that category. That page is a U.S. catalog snapshot; it does not establish availability in another country or on a later date. For the distinction between offers, see Prime Video’s browse page and Amazon’s Prime Video help.
Below are ten recommendations drawn from TV Guide’s August 14, 2026 guide and Rotten Tomatoes’ August guide. Those guides include shows described as available with a Prime Video subscription or for free; they do not mean every title is included with Prime. The three shows identified above have a current U.S. free-with-ads label in Prime Video’s browse page. Check each other title’s page for its current offer before watching.

Science fiction and superhero stories
- Fallout: Post-apocalyptic science fiction adapted from the video game universe. Prime Video’s U.S. browse page currently labels it “Free with ads.”
- The Boys: A violent, satirical take on superheroes and celebrity power. It currently appears in the U.S. “Free with ads” category.
- Gen V: Superhero drama centered on young people training in a world shaped by powerful heroes. It currently appears in the U.S. “Free with ads” category.
Comedy and coming-of-age
- Fleabag: A sharp, character-led comedy for viewers drawn to messy relationships and a distinctive comic voice.
- Overcompensating: A college comedy about navigating identity and social life.
- Sterling Point: A recent coming-of-age drama.
Fantasy and animation
- The Legend of Vox Machina: Animated fantasy adventure with a rowdy party of heroes at its center.
- The Rings of Power: Large-scale fantasy set in Middle-earth.
How to confirm a show is actually free for you
- Open Prime Video in your region and search for the show.
- Open the show’s individual title page and inspect its offer badge. Look for “Included with Prime” or “Free with ads.”
- If the page offers a rental, purchase, or add-on subscription instead, it is not free under those terms. Do not assume that a show mentioned in a guide is included with your membership.
- Check the season or episode you intend to watch. Offers can vary by title or season, and the catalog can change.
Does Prime Video come with Amazon Prime?
In the U.S., Prime Video is included with Amazon Prime. About Amazon stated U.S. membership prices of $14.99 per month or $139 per year in its October 2026 announcement; those are membership prices, not a separate Prime Video-only rate, and they are specific to the U.S. and that announcement.
