How did the marriage begin?
Kardashian later recalled that Thomas proposed while they were in Las Vegas and that she accepted. In a 2011 Harper’s Bazaar interview, as quoted by Us Weekly, she said: “We went to Vegas, he said, ‘Let’s get married!’ and I said, ‘OK.’” It is her retrospective account, not a contemporaneous wedding record.
What did Kardashian say about being 19?
In the same reported interview, Kardashian reflected on her younger self: “If I looked at myself at 19, I would shake myself and be like, ‘Wake up; you are way too smart for this.’” The comment is a later judgment about that period of her life, rather than an explanation of every circumstance behind the marriage.

Was Kardashian on ecstasy at the wedding?
Kardashian said on Keeping Up With the Kardashians in 2018 that she was on ecstasy when she married Thomas. Us Weekly quoted her as saying, “I got married on ecstasy. … The first time.” That statement is her later recollection; it does not independently verify her condition at the ceremony.
Thomas disputed the account in a 2022 response quoted by Us Weekly. He said he did not remember it that way and objected to reducing a relationship that lasted several years to an episode of intoxication. His comment is a conflicting recollection, not proof of what happened at the wedding.

How long were they married?
Published accounts differ in how they describe the duration. ELLE and Us Weekly characterize the marriage as lasting about three years. An Access Hollywood search-result excerpt quotes Kardashian describing it as four years. The sources therefore support an approximate duration, not a single uncontested figure.
The reported legal milestones are distinct: ELLE says the divorce was filed in 2003 and finalized in 2004. The Access Hollywood excerpt describes court papers as placing the marriage from January 2000 until its legal dissolution in February 2004. Neither account provides a basis for stating an exact wedding day.

ELLE describes allegations attributed to Kardashian in divorce papers that Thomas was controlling, including that he made her leave a boutique job and wanted to know where she was. Access Hollywood’s search-result excerpt reports allegations of violence in the papers and Thomas’s denial. The underlying court papers are not reproduced in the cited coverage, and these reports do not establish that a court made a finding that the allegations were true.
The distinction matters: allegations reported in divorce coverage should not be presented as proven conduct, and Thomas’s denial should not be treated as an independent finding about the marriage. The available accounts document competing claims, not a resolved factual judgment.
