Those figures describe season-level Tomatometer snapshots reported at the time—not verified current ratings, audience scores or ratings for either show’s entire run.
What the 100% scores refer to
Rotten Tomatoes reports critics’ reviews through its Tomatometer and audience ratings separately through its Popcornmeter. The May 2024 figures were described as critics scores for the shows’ new seasons. A percentage can change as more reviews are added, so it should be read with its season and date rather than as a permanent score for a series. Rotten Tomatoes’ returning-show guide illustrates this season-by-season distinction by listing Tomatometer and Popcornmeter figures separately.
The two returning shows
Doctor Who
The 2024 season introduced Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor, with Millie Gibson playing companion Ruby Sunday. The pair’s adventures take them through space and time in the TARDIS. BGR reported that the season was set to premiere on Disney+ on May 10, 2024, and that it had a 100% critics score at that point. That is a historical report, not confirmation of the season’s present-day score or streaming availability.
Them: The Scare
This eight-episode season continues the 2021 series Them: The Covenant with a new story set in 1991. It follows LAPD Homicide Detective Dawn Reeve as she investigates the murder of a foster mother while an ominous force threatens her family. BGR reported a 100% critics score for the season in May 2024 and named Prime Video as its platform. Neither the current score nor present-day availability is established by that report.

How to read the scores
- They are season scores: the reported figures applied to the new seasons, not to every season or the complete series.
- They are critics scores: 100% referred to the Tomatometer, not the audience Popcornmeter.
- They are dated figures: BGR’s May 7, 2024 article reported the debut scores. It does not establish either show’s current percentage or review count.
- Platform references are time- and region-sensitive: Disney+ and Prime Video were the services named in that article; its references do not confirm universal or current availability.
The original report is BGR’s May 7, 2024 article. Rotten Tomatoes’ 2015 guide provides context on how the site distinguishes season-level critics and audience ratings; it is not evidence of either 2024 score.
