The 1973 Plymouth Barracuda advertised with the phrase “Fast and Furious” is no longer up for grabs: its ClassicCars.com listing is marked sold. The seller’s slogan is not proof that the car appeared in a film. A separate record identifies a 1972 Barracuda as a car used in Furious 7, but that is a different vehicle.
What happened to the 1973 Barracuda listing?
ClassicCars.com listing CC-2005549 advertised a 1973 Plymouth Barracuda in Largo, Florida, for a former asking price of $57,900. The page now marks the listing sold, so that price is not a current offer. The listing showed a black exterior and interior, a manual transmission and an odometer field of 0; the displayed odometer figure should not be treated as verified mileage. View the ClassicCars.com listing.
The seller described the car as a 1973 Cuda with a 340 V8 and four-speed manual transmission with a Pistol Grip shifter. Listed equipment included Holley Sniper fuel injection, headers, an aluminum radiator, billet pulleys, MSD ignition, a billet distributor, an aluminum intake, upgraded gauges, power steering and brakes, black bucket seats with a center console, a twin-bulge Cuda hood, Weld Racing Drag Lite aluminum wheels and BFGoodrich raised-white-letter tires. These are seller-provided listing details, not independent inspection findings.
The page also described possible financing and shipping arrangements and offered a FaceTime walk-around or test drive. Those were historical listing offers; the car is marked sold.

Does the 1973 car have documented Fast & Furious provenance?
No. The connection in the headline comes from the seller’s promotional line in the listing: “This Cuda is Fast and Furious!!!” That wording does not establish that the car was used in a movie, and the listing itself tells prospective buyers to verify claims and specifications. No film provenance for this particular 1973 car is established by the cited listing.
The separately recorded 1972 Furious 7 Barracuda
A distinct car record identifies a 1972 Plymouth Barracuda as screen-used in Furious 7 (2015), associated with Letty Ortiz in the Race Wars sequence. It lists a Mopar V8, manual transmission and chassis number BS23H2B188941, and says the vehicle would require mechanical recommissioning. Those details refer to the 1972 car—not the Largo 1973 listing. See the Classic Valuer record.

The record gives an auction date of 28 November 2025 in France and displays £74,004. It does not make clear whether that amount is a final hammer price or includes the buyer’s premium, so it should not be presented as a definitive realized sale price without confirmation from the auction result.
