There is no reliable evidence establishing which celebrities have “the worst breath”—or even confirming the stories attached to many of the names in online roundups. A list published by Ranker is explicitly about alleged bad breath, not verified health facts; its 15 entries are loosely ranked by fame and popularity, not by any assessment of odor. The title’s number and superlative therefore should be read as gossip framing, not a factual ranking.
What the celebrity breath lists can—and cannot—tell you
Ranker’s page, “Celebrities Who (Allegedly) Have Bad Breath,” updated July 3, 2024, presents rumors and anecdotes. It lists 15 people, not 11, and says the order is loosely based on fame and popularity. It does not describe a consistent method for evaluating anyone’s breath, provide a clinical assessment, or establish who was supposedly worse than whom.
Some entries point to a linked source; others are identified only as rumors or lack a visible source link. That uneven sourcing matters: inclusion on a gossip list is not confirmation, and repeating an allegation does not make it evidence. A separate Life & Style roundup published February 13, 2020, also used this gossip framing, but its available search snippet does not independently corroborate the claims.
Which celebrities are named in the rumor roundup?
Ranker’s 15 names are Ben Affleck, Jessica Simpson, Robert Pattinson, Angelina Jolie, Hugh Grant, Beyoncé, John Waters, Sean Combs, Jennifer Aniston, Biz Markie, Busta Rhymes, Diana (Princess of Wales), Lamar Odom, Flavor Flav, and Clark Gable. These are names collected in a secondary rumor roundup—not verified cases or a defensible “worst” ranking.

The page repeats anecdotes including claims about mints allegedly offered to Affleck, a statement about Simpson’s brushing frequency, coffee-breath comments about Aniston, and a story about Gable’s dentures. The roundup’s existence is not proof that those incidents happened as described. Its own FAQ calls the Beyoncé story unverified, so it should not be presented as fact.
What is the Clark Gable story—and how certain is it?
Ranker attributes this line to Vivien Leigh about Gable: “Kissing Clark Gable in Gone with the Wind was not that exciting. His dentures smelled something awful.” The page points to Pajiba, but the original publication or an interview transcript was not verified. The quotation can therefore be described only as something Ranker attributes to Leigh, with its provenance unconfirmed—not as a verified firsthand statement.

Why “the worst” is not a supportable conclusion
A defensible comparison would require reliable, comparable evidence, such as on-record statements or reporting tied to primary sources. A rumor roundup does not provide that. Its ordering reflects popularity rather than odor or severity, and there is no measurement or consistent assessment behind the superlative. The available material supports describing these as celebrity breath rumors; it does not support diagnosing anyone, ranking their health, or naming 11 people as the worst.
That distinction is especially important because breath odor can be treated as a personal or health-related claim. No diagnosis or cause is established for any person named here. The roundup’s anecdotes should remain attributed to the page, and claims without checkable sourcing should not be upgraded into biographical fact.
